Main observation and conclusionrnTen new characteristic dihydroagarofuran sesquiterpenoids and three known ones were acquired from the Celastraceae plant Trip-terygium wilfordii.Their structure characterizations were done through spectroscopic data,while compounds 10-12 were further confirmed by single crystal diffractions.Several dihydroagarofurans protected PC12 cells against H2O2-induced cytotoxicity as detect-ed by CCK8 assay.Compounds 5-7 and 13 significantly increased the levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and superoxide dls-mutase (SOD),and decreased malondialdehyde (MDA) levels.In addition,compounds 5-7 and 13 activated the Nrf2 signaling path-way and increased Nrf2,NQO1,and HO1 expression levels in PC12 cells after H2O2 treatment.
