Pragmatics has always been closely related to discourse analysis. The interdisciplinary course between them - the advent of pragmatics is the inevitable development of the subject. Discourse pragmatics advocates the study of discourse from the perspective of pragmatics and the discourse of discourse from the perspective of the dynamic generation of meaning. The “pragmatic pragmatics” edited by Nordic pragmatists demonstrates in detail the necessity and feasibility of this perspective. The rise of this new field is bound to promote pragmatics research to adopt the holistic approach to further emphasize the dynamics of language use. Therefore, the study of pragmatics has great practical significance and historical value.
