在抗击非典期间,河南省郑州市第六人民医院院长、党委副书记熊飞升,为了郑州市600多万人民的健康和安全,义无反顾地牺牲了医院的利益,带领全院400多名干部和职工,筑起了一道坚不可摧的抗击非典的防护阵地。因此,全院先后收治了31例发热住院病人,发热门诊先后接诊了2000多人次发热病人,在隔离区工作的60名医护人员无一例被感染,省会郑州市无一例确诊为非典病人。5月20日,医院党委被河南省委、郑州市委授予防治非典先进基层党组织称号;熊飞升院长被中组部授予优秀共产党员称号,并受到了河南省委、省政府和郑州市委、市政府领导的赞扬。
