Orientalism is a set of ideological systems in the fictional East of the West, and its discourse hegemony hinders the harmonious development of multiculturalism in the world. Through the analysis of the images in the Autumn of Nanyue, the article reflects that the British modern poet Yang Bo-sun corrected consciously the oriental discourse prejudice, broke the Western thinking of China’s image and probed into the later The Ideological Roots Reappearing of Real China in Colonial Context. At the same time, it elaborates on the fetters of orientalism to people’s thoughts, reveals the joint efforts of both eastern and western scholars who need to surpass the requirements of orientalism. If they want to break away from the shackles of orientalism, they must possess the conscious corrections of returning to the historical objective reality.
