General Secretary Xi Jinping made an important speech at the General Assembly celebrating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the CPPCC and profoundly expounded the major strategic arrangements for the consultative democracy in socialism. Since the beginning of this year, the CPC Central Committee has successively promulgated the “Opinions on Strengthening the Constructive Democratic Socialist Consultation,” the “Opinions on Strengthening the Constructive Consultation of the CPPCC,” and promulgated the “Regulations on the Work of the United Front of the Chinese Communist Party (Trial Implementation).” These are all programmatic documents that the CPC has guided the work of the CPPCC under the new circumstances and the socialist consultative democracy and the united front work under the new situation. The CPPCC organizations at the grassroots level should, in light of their actual conditions, study and think in depth and strive to be “truth-seeking, innovating, truth-seeking and seeking common ground”
