美国教师职业面临着师资短缺和教师质量下降的问题.师资短缺的原因主要是:师生比例失衡;教师待遇不佳;教师职业流动性过大;教师专业化的压力.权宜之计是变相降低教师任职资格标准、引进外籍教师.美国教育界认为应该严格教师任职资格,建立合理的绩效制度.
