《红楼梦》霍译和杨译两个英文全译本为《红楼梦》英译对比研究提供了极大便利,但两者原文版本的差异尚未引起学界足够的重视。本文扼要介绍《红楼梦》中文版本情况,指出两个英文全译本采用的中文版本有别,并举例分析两者的差异。只有提高中文版本意识,才能把《红楼梦》英译研究不断引入精细化、科学化发展轨道。 The translation of two English versions of “Dream of Red Mansions” and “Two Versions of Yang” into English provides great convenience for the comparative study of the English versions of A Dream of Red Mansions, but the difference between the two versions has not drawn enough attention from the academic circles. This article briefly introduces the Chinese version of A Dream of Red Mansions and points out that there are differences between the two versions in the English versions of the two versions. Only by raising the awareness of the Chinese version can the study on the English translation of A Dream of Red Mansions be continuously introduced into the track of fine and scientific development.
