今年9月23日,本世纪的最后一次天象奇观——日全食,在我国境内出现,各家新闻单位竞相报道。笔者找出几家报纸作了个比较,感到它们从消息采写、标题制作到版面安排,都有不同的特色,表现了各自的匠心独运。这次日全食是人们普遍关注的事,因此消息标题应该作得突出、醒目。从这个意义上讲,《中国青年报》的标题制作得最为讲究:一幅17厘米宽的大照片上,日环食高悬左上方,右下是仰头观望的人们依次排开,3个镂空头号魏体标题字“金环食”跃然纸上。紧挨照片就是上海市民观看日食的消息。这个标题简洁有力,题图并茂,互为注脚,使人一新耳目。
