本期封面图片是中华医学会成立时大会代表的合影。1914年5月,伍连德博士在上海提出成立中国人自己的全国性学会,经过近一年的筹备,翌年(1915年)2月5日伍连德等21人在上海成立中华医学会,伍连德连任两届会长,同时创办了《中华医学杂志》,并任第一届总编。
The cover image of this issue is a photo of the representative of the General Assembly when the Chinese Medical Association was founded. In May 1914, Dr. Wu Liande proposed the establishment of a Chinese national society in Shanghai. After nearly a year of preparations, 21 people including Wu Liande established the Chinese Medical Association in Shanghai on February 5 of the following year (1915), and Wu Liande re-elected two terms President, at the same time founded the “Chinese Medical Journal”, and served as the first editor.
