本册教材包括下面一些内容:观察物体、因数与倍数、长方体和正方体、分数的意义和性质、图形的运动、分数的加法和减法、折线统计图、数学广角和综合与实践活动等。和实验教材相比,有三个单元的内容发生了较大的变化。一是新增了“观察物体(三)”;二是“图形的运动(三)”将原来轴对称和旋转的内容分开,这里编排旋转的变换;三是“折线统计图”将单式折线统计图和复式折线统计图合并起来编排,不再安排众数的学习。此外,“因数与倍数”中概念的引入也进行了调整,综合与实践活动也将原来的“粉刷墙壁”调整为新的“探索图形”。
