70年代末、80年代初,我国曾掀起全民读书学习的热潮。那时,书弥合着断裂,越过十年空白,把传统与现实连接起来。20年后的今天,中国人民站在了21世纪的门槛上,面临着新的机遇和挑战,一股新的读书求知的热潮在中华大地上形成:工作之余,许多人手挟书本,匆匆赶往各种培训班、夜大学;一度冷落下去的图书馆再现读者如潮的情景;在校大学生除了学好必修课以外,许多人参加课外小组,参与老师的课题研究等等。
