In the summer of 1955, the Labor and Health Study Group of our hospital conducted a health examination for workers at high-temperature workshops in a steel mill and found that when a part of workers who received the fitness test (Schneider’s test) turned from a supine posture to an upright posture, Not rise, but some decline. Thus doubting that long-term and intense manual labor in high-temperature environments may have an adverse effect on cardiovascular system function; therefore, we conducted further investigations into the cardiovascular system function of a number of workers and hoped to present some preliminary materials in this regard, As a reference for similar work in the future.
