从1956年4月成立西藏自治区筹备委员会到1965年9月成立西藏自治区,西藏地方的政权建设走过了近10个年头,其中包括经历平息武装叛乱和实行民主改革等重大事件,以及各项工作前期的准备,真正到1965年西藏自治区成立这一重要历史时刻,由于万事齐备的缘故,重大建制事项并不太多,相应的研究也比较欠缺,这与这一重大事件所具有的地位和意义不相符合。文章利用档案、报刊等资料,在吸收前人研究成果的基础上,对西藏自治区成立前的准备工作、正式成立的过程,以及西藏自治区成立后所采取的各项举措进行了梳理,以展现这一重大事件的历史概貌,进而据实认识西藏自治区成立的伟大历史意义。
