玉米,是一种高产作物,又是“饲料之王”。其增产潜之大,是其它粮食作物无法相比的;其社会用途之广,也是其它粮食所不能替代的。玉米在我省的粮食增产史上起到了主导作用,做出了突出的贡献,由于玉米增产潜力大,社会用途广泛,所以人们对玉米认识高,种粮质量要求也就越来越高。经多年的生产实践和研究结果证明,我省第三积温带玉米品种育种目标应该以早熟、密植、硬粒、高产型品种为主,这也是生产者、经营者和使用者所希望的品种,因为它的种粮品质好,脱水快,很受生产者和经营使用者的欢迎。

Maize has played a leading role in the history of grain production in our province and made outstanding contributions. Due to its potential for increasing corn yield and its wide range of social uses, people have become more and more knowledgeable about corn and the quality requirements of growing grain are also getting higher and higher. After many years of production practice and research results show that the third crop of temperate maize varieties in our province breeding objectives should be premature, close planting, hard grain, high-yield-based varieties, which is the producer, operator and user of the desired species, Because of its good grain quality, dehydration fast, very popular with producers and business users.
