This article through the study of Xinjiang Aite silk found that its weaving technology and Indian traditional fabric Iqat is very similar. Through the further textual research on the history of the religious exchanges between China and India, this paper proposes a possibility that the method of silk weaving in Xinjiang originated in India and passed the Silk Road a long time ago to the Uighurs living in the Western Regions. Since the 11th century due to the extensive influence of Islam in Central Asia, the style of the Alyesi silk gradually solidified and has been developed into a uniquely local fabric.
