一、概况 开封县位于豫东平原,共辖20个乡镇(场),359个行政村,总人口 67万,其中农业人口 63万。1995年全县国内生产总值9.9亿元,工农业总产值24亿元,财政收入 5 018万元,农民人均纯收入1286元。全县共有医疗卫生单位27个,其中乡镇卫生院20个,有各类卫生技术人员1137人,其中副主任医师9人,中级卫技人员135人,初级(师、士)卫技人员513人,其他卫技人员480人。设病床856张,全县平均每千人口医务人员1.9人,每千人口医院病床1.2张。有行政村卫生所359个,乡村医生1162人。
