Fifth, the dynamic characteristics of the spindle This section describes the results of two experiments designed to be a little bit special small vertical lathe. In the first vertical car we conducted a traditional dynamic test: cutting test, exciting, dynamic deformation. It soon showed that when the table was fixed on the journal, the lathe spindle was the weakest link in the machine. A reinforcement of the spindle failed to improve its performance effectively. When the workpiece height of more than 300 mm, the processing is not satisfactory, all the dynamic performance of the machine are not good. According to design requirements, this machine is used to process a series of height of 500 mm
