术语是语言词汇体系中的一个广泛的词层。术语是传递信息的载体,由于当今科技高速发展而不断涌现新的术语词,以及术语在现代语言中的重要作用,应运而生了术语学,包括描写性术语学和规范性术语学。其研究内容甚为广泛,包括术语词的功能语义、释义、变体、转换以及规范化、标准化、语料库建设、术语词典编纂等问题。术语词典既有别于语文性词典,也有别于专科、百科性词典。此外,单语术语词典与双(多)语术语词典也都有自己的特点。
Terminology is a broad lexical layer in the linguistic vocabulary system. Terminology is the carrier of information transmission. Due to the continuous emergence of new terminology and the important role of terminology in modern languages, rapid development of terminology has resulted in terminology including descriptive terminology and normative terminology. Its research content is very extensive, including the functional semantics, definitions, variations, transformations of terminology and the problems of standardization, standardization, construction of corpus and terminology dictionaries. Terminology dictionary is different from the language of the dictionary, but also different from the specialist, encyclopedic dictionary. In addition, monolingual dictionaries and double (or more) terminology dictionaries also have their own characteristics.
