I am willing to work with you to analyze the research and practice of digital humanities and computational social sciences, explore the reasons for such developments and the challenges in this new field. 1 Types of Digital Humanities and Computational Social Sciences A few months ago, the Stanford University Library, in cooperation with the National Library of France, co-published the French Revolution Digital Archives (1), which included 101 volumes of French Parliamentary archives and thousands of images of the Revolutionary period, which are searchable and read on the Internet. The project’s transatlantic team assembled these resources in seven years, of which four to five years were spent investigating the copyright ownership of data that is still under copyright.
