One of my German friends works at the Nazi Crime Museum. He looks like a butterfly collector, temperament is very gentle. I asked him: “Why dedicate my whole life to this awesome subject?” He said: “I have to do this. My grandfather is a Nazis. My grandmother is a senior Nazi. This is my theme. ”He went on to say that many of the people who visited the museum and its archives were Germans like him. They always felt that his grandfather had done a bad thing, but never dared to ask, nor did their parents say to them. Finally, these people come to my friend’s archives, say their grandfather’s name and ask for information. My friends generally tell the horrible facts truthfully. “But usually they seem to have some understanding, ” he told me.
