On the morning of July 13, 1955, British woman Rose Ellis was hanged in London for killing his lover David Blakely. It took only 25 minutes for the jury to convict Rose that he had settled the case. However, this quick resolution directly led to the abolition of the death penalty in Britain in 1969, and Rose became the last woman hanged in British history.
