In the appraisal of the achievements, relevant experts believe that this technology has generally reached the international advanced level. “Drought-resistant seed coating agent development and industrial development and application” is the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Institute of Meteorology and other units bear national “Eighth Five-Year” scientific and technological projects. In 1991, this project was put forward as an agricultural water-saving project. The research team headed by researcher Wang Yiming of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences lasted 7 years and successfully completed this project.
