在图书馆订阅的期刊中,往往会发生缺期现象,从而在一定程度上影响了读者借阅的积极性和对科技情报的检索与利用,也给图书馆的期刊整理、装订工作带来了很大麻烦。一、现刊缺期的状况及补缺率我馆是一个专业图书馆,订有四百多种农业核心期刊以及相关学科的期刊。总的来说,这些期刊的到馆情况还是比较好的,大多数现刊都能按时收到,但也有少数期刊经常发生脱期和缺期现象,经管理人员联系、催缺后,有的尚能补到,有的则因各种原因始终难以补齐。如1989年我馆选订的420种期刊中,就有105种期刊有缺期现象,缺期总册数达286册,缺期期刊的种数占订阅期刊
