PISA data shows that even in the best performing countries, a significant number of 15-year-olds do not have the basic problem-solving skills necessary to succeed in today’s world. In modern society, life is all about solving problems. As society, the environment and science and technology continue to change, the knowledge we should know to make life more fulfilling is rapidly evolving.
