目标识别系统的发展能改进精确制导导弹的性能改进自主目标识别(ATR)装置和技术能大大地提高现有灵巧武器系统的效能。这种研制工作需要有高速的信号或图象处理能力、快速数据库管理技术和高逼真度相关算法。尽管最近在微型电子计算机硬件和软件配套技术方面取得了进展,使提高ATR技术成为可能。在更先进的ATR技术达到实际使用之前,还需要明确地规定武器系统的任务和技术要求。
The development of target recognition systems can improve the performance of precision guided missiles. Improved autonomous target recognition (ATR) devices and techniques can greatly enhance the effectiveness of existing smart weapon systems. This development requires high-speed signal or image processing capabilities, rapid database management techniques and high fidelity-related algorithms. Despite the recent advances in microelectronic computer hardware and software supporting technologies, it is possible to enhance ATR technology. Before the more advanced ATR technology is put to practical use, the mission and technical requirements for weapons systems need to be clearly defined.
