Dürer drew a series of self-portraits with sketches and oil paintings. This was a very peculiar move in the history of Western art before Rembrandt. Dürer’s value for self-worth was even clearer from this wonderful self-portrait. Shown are: with graceful style of elegant dress and curly hair, stylish black and white hat, the 26-year-old artist, is watching the viewer with a calm look. Dürer carefully described the details of his face and clothing and proved that he had the extraordinary talent to reproduce the world seen by his eyes, and also reflected his personal conviction that “the more it can correctly present reality, the more Looks wonderful.” Hands on the edge of the table, as if to emphasize that it is not the hands of the two laborers, but also in particular put on gloves, hands alternately holding. In this self-confident self-portrait, Dürer revealed his position in society that he identified as the son of a medieval goldsmith family.
