警务英语课程是在公安院校培养“具有较高专业素养、较强的语言沟通和跨文化交际能力的复合型警务人才”目标下设立的课程,其还处于初期的发展阶段,在学生、教学、师资、教材各方面都面临着较大的挑战。公安院校应从教学质量工程建设、师资队伍建设、教材建设和警务英语文化与实战阵地建设着手,才能在课程建设上取得突破,为公安涉外警务工作的长远发展奠定坚实基础,为“一带一路”建设铺好语言服务之路。
