Before liberation, I have not seen Premier Zhou. However, reading Snow’s “Travel of the West” is very much admired by Premier Zhou for being a revolutionary, arduous, selfless and honorable in his life. The first time I met Premier Zhou, it was time for China Federation of Literary and Art Communities to convene the Second National Assembly of Manchu in 1953. At that time, I was present as an amateur literary author. On the afternoon of September 23, our beloved Premier Zhou Zemin came to the General Assembly to give us a report. I was surprised and excited, eyes wide open, gazing intently at this brilliant man of great glory. He, with a smile on his face, gentle expression, simple clothes, bright eyes, showed infinite cordiality and enthusiasm. Suddenly, I could not help but astonish this extraordinary proletarian revolutionist.
