In 1792, a national war broke out between France and the European monarchy. This essay elaborates on a series of observations made by Robespierre, the center of the French Revolution, about the then great issue concerning the survival of the nation-the war. He pointed out that Robespierre initially supported the war (unfortunately, it was seldom studied); it later became an anti-war; and finally turned into a war with all his heart. The article argues from the viewpoints of a large number of facts and historical materialism that Robespierre’s theory of war was generated and developed in the struggle against the Bourrican and is an important part of his revolutionary democratic thinking and still shines with it Glorious. The article also criticizes Robespierre’s assessment of the theory of war as being too low or too high by some foreign historians.
