After posterior cataract incision, you must minimize the surrounding tissue damage. Dense film-like or leather-like posterior cataract flexibility, needle knife incision is extremely difficult. During surgery, the fibers of the membrane move with the knife, not only failing to open but also injuring the intraocular tissues connected to the membrane, the iris, the ciliary body and the vitreous body. In order to solve this problem, Sato introduced a new surgical method in 1951. The author of this article has successfully used the Sato needle-knife technique for the past 25 years, and found that the effect was good with few complications. Therefore, the author introduced and reported the surgical results of 65 eyes.
