SiGe Semiconductor expands its PointCharger product line with the release of the SE4110L wireless IC to meet the high performance, high integration and low current requirements of global positioning system (GPS) -based handsets and portable consumer electronics. The new SE4110L has been specifically engineered to provide significant performance enhancements with features such as an on-chip switchable gain LNA for very low system noise of 1.6 dB. The device also features multi-bit output capabilities that enhance the flexibility of software GPS applications and improve immunity to interference and interference in challenging environments such as cellular phones.
