体育素质教育是广义素质教育中一个不可分割的组成部分。它是面向全体学生、面向提高学生的体育素质,增进学生身心健康,以为社会育人为其根本目的,以体育实践为其主要手段,促进学生生动、活泼、主动发展的教育过程。大学校园内的大学生是具有现代思想并充满青春活力的知识型群体。一方面,他们体育锻炼的主观思想参与倾向是积极的,另一方面也存在着“挑剔”和“求助”的消极意识。因此,根据华东地质学院体育教学实际进行小群体学习法的实验研究,力图探索出高校体育素质教育的可行性
