福州《盘诗》是福州民俗文化中的一大特色。它类似于其他地区的山歌对唱,是一种非常有趣而且生动活泼的文艺形式。它具有自然和谐的民间艺术语言的节奏与韵律,是土生土长的朗诵诗歌,是吟诵体的“顺口溜”。《盘诗》还是旧时福州青年男女一种有趣的社交活动,他们用歌来自我介绍,赞美生活,倾吐衷情。《盘诗》中所唱的歌词,虽然未经文人墨客的推敲修饰,但却能表现出纯真坦率、缠绵朴实的感情,带有浓厚的乡土气息。“盘”在福州话里有互相对答含意,故福州人把这种诗歌对唱的形式称之为《盘诗》。
