In the latter half of 2005, Shandong haslaunc hed nationwide an ev ent c alled“Long-distance Publicity of Shandong's Fa-mous Brands.” Such events held in the west-ern regions of China have sc ored remark-able success. In just a few weeks, 318 en-terprises and more than 1,000 kinds of prod-ucts took a special train to make publicity inthe cities of Urumqi in Xinjiang, Lanzhou inGansu, and Xi'an in Shaanxi, which gave fullexhibitions of a variety of famous brand prod-ucts made in Shandong.
