贵州普安龙吟剖面,自吴望始等(1979)重新划分和建立沙子塘组、龙吟组(狭义)及包磨山组以来,引起了广大地质工作者的极大兴趣和关注;并且已成为我国石炭系与二叠系地层对比的重要标准剖面之一。80年代末,我们对该剖面进行了调查研究,获得了许多新资料,如在沙子塘组发现了二叠纪具三级隔壁的珊瑚群Szechuanophyllum,Wentzelellites等,Asselian阶上部及Sakmarian-Artinskian阶的牙形石Diplognathodusexpansus,Neogondolellabisselli,Sweetognathuswhitei,类Mccloudiabella,Schwagerinatschernychewilonga等。有意义的是还发现了异珊瑚类化石,从而证明此类化石不仅限于泥盆纪至早石炭世。它们的生存时间可上延至二叠纪。在龙吟组及包磨山组发现了Artinskian阶的菊石群,如Propinacocerasaktubense,P.knighti,Kargalitestypicus,Medlicottiaorbignyana等。在包磨山组至歪头山煤系地层中发现了栖霞阶的牙形石Neost?
Since the rezoning and establishment of the Shazitang Formation, the Longyin Formation (in the narrow sense) and the Baomengshan Formation by Wu Wangshi et al. (1979), there has been a great interest and concern from the majority of geologists in Guizhou’s Long An Yin Pu section; and It has become one of the important standard sections for the comparison between the Carboniferous and Permian strata in China. In the late 1980s, we conducted a survey of the profile and obtained many new data. For example, the Permian Szechuanophyllum, Wentzelellites, and other Upper Triassic and Sakmarian-Artinskian stages of the Permian were found in the Shazitang Formation Conodont Diplognathodusexpansus, Neogondolellabisselli, Sweetognathuswhitei, genus Mccloudiabella, Schwagerinatschernychewilonga, and others. It is also significant that different coral fossils have also been discovered, thus proving that such fossils are not limited to the Devonian to Early Carboniferous. Their survival time up to the Permian. The Artinskian apexes were found in the Longyin and Baomenshan formations, such as Propinacocerasaktubense, P. knighti, Kargalitestypicus, Medlicottiaorbignyana and so on.
