中国西部的文化艺术资源在国内外有着得天独厚和不可取代的地位,西安是古丝绸之路的起点,向世人宣传西部,促进西部文化大发展、大繁荣是我们义不容辞的责任。陕西省美术博物馆作为首批国家重点美术馆,从2011年开始,“高原·高原——中国西部美术展”已成功举办了三届,并被文化部评为国家重点美术馆优秀展览项目予以扶持,2014年将继续推出“高原·高原——第四届中国西部美术展油画年度展”。
