便秘是老年人常见疾病之一。由于老年人身体机能减退,活动减少,因而造成结肠张力及蠕动减弱,排便反应迟钝,易发生便秘。便秘日久,可引起肛裂、便血、痔疮,给老年人的生活带来极大的不便和痛苦,也为一些疾病的产生理下了隐患。而且,食物在消化分解时所产生的废物、毒素,如吲哚、硫化氢等,因为便秘得不到及时排出体外,就会经肠壁吸收进入血液循环,加速衰老过程。因而对老年性便秘进行自我防治不仅是十分必要的,也是可行的。其具体自我防治方法有: 一、调饮食,和五昧老年人脾胃虚弱,五脏虚衰,既赖饮食以养,又因饮食为害,故尤当注意饮食五
