This paper studies the housing culture in the Jinsha River Gorge at the west end of the Tibetan-Yi Corridor. It holds that the spatial meaning of the housing includes the locals’ overall cognition of ecological space, sacred space and social space. The blockhouse at the western end of the corridor is of great significance to reflect on the study of the ethnic relations between Tibetan and Yi corridors.
