随着波分复用技术和高速以太网技术的发展,骨干网和用户驻地网的带宽呈几何级数增长。连接骨干网和用户驻地网的接入网一直是电信网中的一个瓶颈。这几年出现了一些新的高速接入技术,如ADSL、基于HFC的Cable Modem、PON等。这些接入技术比传统的铜线接入带宽大大增加,但也有各自的局限性。ADSL是一种非对称传输技术,不适用于局域网互联。基于HFC的Cable Modem适用于解决住宅用户的高速数据接入问题,不适用于商业用户接入。PON的下行传输为广播式,如用于商业用户接入,要解决其安全性问题。本文提出在SDH上透明传送LAN业务,是目前解决LAN互联和ISP接入的比较好的技术选择。因为SDH是一种非常成熟的技术,安全性好,可靠性高。但正如本文所提到的,在SDH上透明传送LAN业务,也有一些问题需要解决,如简化设计、提高设备的环境适应性、SDH接口速率与LAN接口速率匹配等。此文所提出的解决方案对电信运营商具有较好的参考价值。
With the development of WDM technology and high-speed Ethernet technology, the bandwidth of the backbone network and the customer premises network grows geometrically. The access network connecting the backbone network and the customer premises network has always been a bottleneck in the telecommunications network. In recent years a number of new high-speed access technologies have emerged, such as ADSL, HFC-based Cable Modem, PON and so on. These access technologies have significantly increased access bandwidth over traditional copper cabling, but also have their own limitations. ADSL is an asymmetric transmission technology, not suitable for LAN interconnection. HFC-based Cable Modem is suitable for high-speed data access problems for residential users and is not suitable for business users to access. PON downlink transmission for the broadcast, such as for commercial users access, to solve their security issues. This paper proposes that the transparent transmission of LAN services on SDH is the better technology choice to solve the problem of LAN interconnection and ISP access. Because SDH is a very mature technology, good security, high reliability. However, as mentioned in this article, there are some issues that need to be solved in order to transparently transmit LAN services on SDH, such as simplifying the design, improving the environment adaptability of the device, matching the rate of the SDH interface with the rate of the LAN interface, and the like. The solution proposed in this paper has a good reference value for telecom operators.
