In the past two years, great attention has been paid to the research on the field separation of downhole seismic data. Many articles on various wavefield separation methods have been published. These methods include two-dimensional Fourier transform, Laplace transform, multi-level dielectric filtering, or optimal filtering, all of which can be used as a possible solution to the problem of wavefield separation. In this paper, some commonly used methods of wave field separation in seismic exploration are compared. The article introduces the theories of these methods so that we can understand the relationship between them.
