Rho GTPases are important signal transduction molecules involved in a variety of important cell life activities such as actin cytoskeleton remodeling, cell adhesion, cell movement, vesicular trafficking, gene expression and cell cycle regulation. The transduction pathways that regulate these biological signals are very complex, therefore, Rho GTPases have long been the hotspot of research. Recent research has focused on the molecular and new functions of Rho GTPases in which part of the cell to respond to and participate in the pathway. At the same time, cellular and molecular experiments have proved that the Rho GTPases are involved in the assembly of actin cytoskeleton, cell adhesion, Cell movement, and gene expression and other aspects of the role and clinical a variety of oral diseases, such as orthodontics, periodontal disease are closely related. Therefore, the research on Rho GTPases may provide new ideas for the treatment of orthodontics and periodontal diseases in the oral cavity.
