绿化造林是建设生态文明绿色密云的首要任务,是改善和提升城镇生态环境质量的战略选择。密云县近些年来为改善全县主要道路、河流、河渠、堤坝等通道沿线的生态环境,推进城市绿化美化向纵深发展,于2001年起陆续在大沙河,潮白河及京承高速路(二、三期)两侧50米范围内实施绿色通道工程建设。截止到目前已完成绿色通道101.2公里,绿化面积24556亩,2011年结合我县环境建设实际情况,在密云新城周边、主要河流等重点区区域和节点先期启动“十河十路五景区”绿化美化
