从今年9月1日起,美国的自由亚洲电台对华广播由两年前开播时的每天1小时增加到12小时。此外,它还有每天3小时的藏语节目。这样就使这家电台迅速赶上了经营了几十年的美国之音对华广播的规模。这种惊人的增长速度和它所传播内容的鲜明意图,不能不引起人们的关注。 美国的自由亚洲电台创办于1996年9月30日,半年后由每天1小时增加到两小时;再过半年增加到4小时。从今年起,增长速度进一步加快。7月3日又增加两小时;仅仅一个多月时间,到8月5日,又增加两小时。到9月1日就形成了每天12小时的规模,有消息说,它的目标是每天对华广播达到24小时。
From September 1 this year, the U.S. radio broadcast by Radio Free Asia to China increased from one hour a day to two hours a day when broadcasting began two years ago. In addition, it has 3 hours of Tibetan language program daily. This enabled the station to catch up quickly with the broadcast of VOA’s radio service to the United States for decades. This alarming rate of growth and the distinct intent of the content it broadcast can not but draw the attention of people. The U.S. Radio Free Asia was founded on September 30, 1996, increasing from one hour a day to two hours a half year later and to four hours in another six months. From this year onwards, the growth rate will accelerate further. An additional two hours were added on July 3; in just over a month, by August 5, an additional two hours were added. By September 1, a daily 12-hour scale has been formed, with the message that its goal is to broadcast it to China for 24 hours a day.
