“细辛不过钱”之说乃古今临床施药之清规。据我临床体会,此说似不尽妥,今陈异议,期与同道商榷。细辛性温燥,味辛辣,有通经止痛之功,适用于诸头痛、牙痛及风湿痹痛等证。《证治准绳》中治小儿疯痫的“细辛麻黄汤”,《千金方》中治胸痹背痛的“细辛散”,《太平圣惠方》中治耳聋的“细辛膏”等,皆属细辛为君之效方。至于“细辛不过钱”之说,似与细辛的先兴奋后麻痹,过量可致呼吸中枢麻痹之弊有关。但却不应局限在“钱”内为其用量的永恒标准,而应据病情、体质之不同因人制宜。为验证其

As for the saying, “Asana does not cost money,” it seems to be related to Asarum’s first excitement and paralysis afterwards. Excessive amounts can cause harms in the respiratory center. However, it should not be limited to the eternal standard of its use in “money”, but it should be adjusted according to the condition and physical condition. To verify it
