包头市固阳一中始建于1948年8月,迄今已有57年的历史。现有教学班36个,学生2200名,教职工163人。其中有高级教师54人,一级教师51人。固阳一中是固阳县唯一的一所普通高级中学,承担着为全县培养合格高中毕业生的重任。多年来,学校坚持以德育为首和以教学为中心,通过不断加强学校管理和积极推进素质教育,使学校的教育教学以及各项事业都得了长足进步和较大发展。学校提出的奋斗目标是:求真务实, 埋头苦干;用3到5年的时间,把固阳一中办成高质量、有特色、科研型的包头市名牌中学。工作思路是:创新机制,激发潜能,跨越发展。办学理念是:
