Floods caused more than 70% of flood deaths in China. Anhui is affected by flash floods in 39 cities and districts in 7 cities, involving a population of 6870000 people. The project “Research and Application of Key Techniques for Mountain Torrent Disaster Investigation and Evaluation”, researched and developed by Anhui Provincial Bureau of Water Resources, took two years and played an important role in the great flood in 2016 and has applied for a patent.
