随着英语教学在过去几十年的发展和日渐成熟,英语教学法也经历了一系列演变,如语法翻译法、听说法和认知法等传统教学法。与此同时,应用语言学家和外语教师们依然在努力寻找一种能更加有效提高学生交际能力的教学法。在此背景下,交际教学法诞生了,并自19世纪80年代起很受欢迎。但基于中国的教学现状,交际教学法尚未被证明是最有效的教学法。为此作者提出了在教学过程中传统教学法与交际法相结合的重要性和必要性,两者有效结合才能提高教学效果。
With the development and maturing of English teaching over the past decades, English teaching methods have also undergone a series of evolutions, such as grammar translation, listening and speaking, and cognitive methods. At the same time, applied linguistics and foreign language teachers are still struggling to find a pedagogy that can more effectively improve students’ communicative competence. In this context, the Communicative Approach was born and has gained popularity since the 1880s. However, based on the current situation of teaching in China, communicative approach has not yet proved to be the most effective pedagogy. Therefore, the author puts forward the importance and necessity of the combination of the traditional teaching method and the communicative method in the process of teaching, and the effective combination of the two can improve the teaching effect.
