为了加强理想、信念教育,由中共湖北省委宣传部和省社科联联合组织的许志功教授先进事迹专场报告会于2000年3月20日在武昌洪山礼堂隆重举行,听众达1400多人。会上,中共湖北省委副书记王生铁代表省委、省政府发表丁热情洋溢的讲话。许志功教授现任国防大学政治理论教研室主任,博士生导师。1945年出生,1964年入伍,1976年由部队调入院校,长期从事马克思主义理论的教学和研究工作。二十多年来,许教授满怀对马克思主义的坚定信仰和对国防教育事业的一片忠诚,发扬理论联系实际的学风,立足三尺讲台,顽强拼搏,锐意进取,在教学和科研上作出了突出的贡献。今年1月25日,中宣部和总政治部联合召开了许志功学习、研究和宣传邓小平理论先进事迹座谈会,并组织了许志功教授与北京大学学生座谈,经过媒体宣传介绍,在理论界及社会产生了强烈的反响,大家认为,他不仅是干部群众学习的榜样,更是理论工作者学习的榜样。现将许教授在报告会上的发言讲话编辑如下,以飨读者。
In order to strengthen the ideal and faith education, the report on the advanced deeds of Professor Xu Zhigong, co-organized by the Propaganda Department of Hubei Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, was held ceremoniously at the Hongshan Auditorium in Wuchang on March 20, 2000, with over 1,400 listeners. On January 25 this year, the Central Propaganda Department and the General Political Department jointly convened Xu Zhigong’s Symposium on Studying, Studying and Propagating the Deeds of Deng Xiaoping Theory, and organized Professor Xu Zhigong’s symposium with students from Peking University.
