象似性理论认为,语言形式和意义之间存在着必然联系,语言符号的形成是有理据的。象似性在词汇方面的表征主要体现在语音、词形、词义、词序四个方面,其中语音和词素象似属于直接象似,词义和词序象似属于间接象似。在词汇学习中,学习者应合理运用象似性理论,将主观思维与客观世界关联,实现其优化学习效率、提高词汇记忆力的助动作用。本文期望排除医学英语词汇学习的盲目性,力求帮助学习者在有限的时间内取得理想的学习效果。
Iconicity theory holds that there is a necessary connection between language form and meaning, and that the formation of linguistic signs is justified. Iconicity in terms of vocabulary is mainly reflected in the four aspects of speech, word form, word meaning, word order, of which the speech and the morpheme icon seem to be direct iconic, while the word meaning and the word order icon are indirect iconic. In vocabulary learning, learners should make rational use of iconicity theory, associate subjective thinking with the objective world, and help them to optimize their learning efficiency and improve vocabulary memory. This article expects to rule out the blindness of medical English vocabulary learning, and strive to help learners achieve the desired learning effect in a limited time.
