艺术家比起其他人来,在探索人类的感觉与人类情感中未知事物方面要走得远得多,这里隐藏着艺术家所要寻找的秘密。从新儒家哲学的角度看,一个人的绘画创作并不单单是为了自己表达情感的需要,更重要的是为了体验人与自然之间的内在共鸣。于是我们所看到的,也不只是一种审美快感,而是天地人一体的和谐体现。艺术家必须遵循天地的基本秩序,艺术也必须具备宇宙论与认识论的意义。宗炳的《画山水序》,是现存最早对山水画创作与意义做出阐释的文献。这篇序文,也正是在魏晋以后“山水方滋”的情形下写出的。细读宗炳的《画山水序》,我们会发现这篇序
Artists are far more advanced than others in exploring the human senses and the unknown in human emotions, hiding the secrets the artist is seeking. From the perspective of neo-Confucian philosophy, a person’s painting is created not only to express his own emotional needs, but more importantly to experience the internal resonance between man and nature. So what we see is not just an aesthetic pleasure, but a harmonious embodiment of heaven and earth. The artist must follow the basic order of heaven and earth and art must also have the significance of cosmology and epistemology. Zong Bing’s “Landscape Painting” is the earliest surviving interpretation of the creation and meaning of landscape painting. This preface, it is also in the Wei and Jin after the “landscape Fang Zi” situation written. Read Zong Bing’s “painting landscape”, we will find this order
